Aftercare

Day 1

After your appointment you may wash your treatment area with water and unscented soaps (dial (gold bar) and/or Dove Unscented) only! Do NOT submerge the brow with water. Pat the area dry with a paper towel. You may repeat this step 3-4 times throughout the remainder of the day to avoid the build up of blood/lymph on the area. After washing place aftercare ointment given to you on your brows 2-3 times a day. *Gently blot treatment area as needed to remove lymph*

Weeks 1&2

Continue washing treatment area 2-3 times/day keeping it clean and free of make up. Continue applying a small size (about a half size of a grain of rice) of Aquaphor to the brows. If the brows are glossy you have applied to much!

Remember to be very gentle when cleaning your brows and always clean your hands prior to touching them.

TRUST THE PROCESS!!! Your brows may scab up….DO NOT PICK THEM!

For the first 10 days please refrain from: sweating excessively, exercising, sports, swimming, hot sauna, tanning, laser treatments, picking/scratching brow area, using any facial cleansers and antibiotic cream.

The Healing Cycle.

Day 1: You may experience redness along with some swelling that will subside over the course of a few hours. You may take Tylenol for any type of discomfort if needed.

Day 2: Your pigment may appear darker. No need to panic!! This is a normal occurrence.

Day 3: Your skin may begin to scab. You may use Aquaphor provided by me after the service to place on your brows 2-3 times/day

Days 4-8: Brows may continue to scab. DO NOT PICK THEM! This will cause pigment to leave prematurely and/or scarring.

Day 9 and beyond: Eyebrows should be free of any scabs and at this point the pigment may be light! THIS IS OK! The color will gradually return and if you received hair strokes after a few weeks they will appear clearer. At this point your brows are healed externally! You may now begin to resume washing and applying make up to your brow area. In 6-8 weeks it is recommended that you return for a touch up as this is a two part service. You may still experience itchiness as the layer below the dermis is still healing. Due to this I will not provide touchups on brows before 4 weeks! NO EXCEPTIONS!
